Membership Details

Becoming an Employer of Choice (EOC) will help you grow your workforce in a way that represents the communities you serve. You’ll also get several benefits that will help your organization stand out as a leader of change.

All potential members must complete a self-assessment. Once your assessment is approved, you can choose to become a member and take advantage of the full list of benefits shown below. Companies that don’t join are only eligible for the baseline benefits.

After your assessment has been approved, you will need to pay your first-year membership fee and the processing fee. You will then pay a renewal fee in each of the next 2 years, on your anniversary date.

After each 3-year term, your company must complete the assessment again to measure growth and assess new challenges. You will pay the first-year fee shown below at the beginning of each new term.

Fees scale based on the size of your organization.

Opportunity to hire Women Building Futures (WBF) grads

Get first access to hire our graduates and alumni through our job boards. You’ll also have the opportunity to build early relationships with our students through classroom speaking engagements.

Why hire WBF grads?
WBF students get industry-relevant, hands-on training from qualified trades professionals. Our class sizes are small, ensuring students get one-on-one support as they learn. Our programs focus on:

  • Academics
  • Safety certifications
  • Financial literacy
  • Physical fitness
  • Productivity

We also provide our students with academic assessment and life readiness coaching to ensure their success in training and employment. This unique combination means our grads have the skills they need to get right to work and get the job done right. And you’re supporting diversity and inclusively in the workforce.

Non-member access to hiring opportunities
Employers who have completed the assessment but have not become a member will only have the opportunity to hire our grads and alumni if there are more job seekers than positions available with members.

Access to recommended resources
Get access to member-only resources. We also offer open access to a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Resource Library for anyone interested in creating safe and inclusive workspaces.

Detailed report and action plan
Using the results of your self-assessment, we’ll provide a detailed analysis and action plan for your DEI initiatives.

Access to job board
Exclusive access to a job board.

Event access and industry networking
WBF hosts a variety of engagement opportunities and events for our EOC members. As we ease out of the pandemic, these opportunities will increase. Events include:

  • Interview days with our students
  • Guest speaking opportunities in our classes
  • Networking events
  • Alumni conferences
  • Round dances and sweats

Invitation to join the EOC Community of Practice
Our community of practice provides:

  • A place to share experiences and DEI best practices
  • Mentorship opportunities
  • Access to external DEI consultants

Joining the community of practice also creates opportunities to connect with other organizations your company may not have otherwise had access to.

Corporate logo recognition on WBF EOC website
Members will have their membership acknowledged by having their logo included on the EOC website.

Marketing and promotional materials
We’ll help you define how you support diversity in the workforce, creating the best wording for DEI grants, RFPs and job postings that will attract diverse talent.

We’ll also provide you with a customized annual EOC badge for your website and promotional materials, so you can promote your participation in the program and your support for DEI practices.

Access to specialized DEI training for all staff
As an EOC member, you’ll have access to WBF’s WORK PROUD training, which gives your organization the tools to create more engaged, safe and inclusive workplaces.

Your staff will learn how to incorporate concepts and tools for respect and inclusion into their everyday work habits to enhance work performance and your safety culture.

WBF has always helped our students prepare for successful careers in industry. WORK PROUD is our way of helping industry build workplaces where all tradespeople, including our graduates, can thrive.
